Grand Hotel Excelsior rises in the historical and commercial city centre of Reggio Calabria, in the beautiful natural scenario of the Stretto of Messina. The building is located a short walk from the National Museum of Magna Grecia that hosts the famous “Bronzi di Riace”, few steps from the sea and from the beautiful seafront Italo Falcomatà also known as "the most beautiful kilometer of Italy".
The Hotel offers a Panoramic Roof Garden from where, in clear days, is possible to have an exclusive view of Stretto of Messina and you can notice the top of the Etna volcano.
Grand Hotel Excelsior has 84 room, all elegant and comfortable, most of them have the balcony and the sea view. Among them, 4 are Junior Suites and 4 Executive Suites and are all characterized by a large living area. The rooms are partially restored and offer a modern style furniture.
Thanks to its central position, the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance: the Cathedral, the Picture gallery, the Cilea Theatre, the Church of St. George, Villa Zerbi, the Aragonese Castle and the Church of Ottimati. Guests are also few distance from Corso Garibaldi, the main street for shopping or simply for a lovely walk.
